Caldwell Municipal Swimming Pool & Bathhouse

The City of Caldwell Neighborhood Swimming Pool & Bathhouse is located at Boyd and Central at the City Park with summertime operation. Facilities include a bathhouse, diving board, concessions, and a sun deck.

One of the most interesting and challenging pieces of this project was the pool being poured in a single monolithic pour without cessation, meaning the pool is a large piece of concrete without construction joints. Therefore, 150 Cubic Yards of concrete was poured inside a seven hour window. Snodgrass & Sons Construction Co., Inc. had no less than 45 people out there on November 20^th, 2020 to make this pour.

The pool was painted with a Tnemec paint (same family of paint that’s used for road lane striping) performed by Heartland Painting. The conditions for painting the pool had to be ideal (humidity, temperature, wind, no rain in the forecast etc. for a week).

The bathhouse is wood-framed with drywall and FRP on the interior and includes a standing seam metal roof.
