Pawnee Prairie Park – Trail Improvements

The enhancements of Pawnee Prairie Park  (SW corner of W. Pawnee St & S. Tyler Rd.) include trail improvements and to help with erosion control.

The trail improvements requires the trail to be compacted and crushed concrete and asphalt pieces larger than 3/4″ removed. The washed out erosion areas were regraded to allow drainage into the new swale. A new swale was constructed to the South of the trail. New crushed concrete was added to create a seamless transition between sections of the trail. The property includes a bridge that required both sides of loose wood and debris to be removed and 10 tons of rip rap added along the East side of the bridge and 30 tons of 18″ rip rap along the West side of the bridge. The project followed with reseeding.
